Jasmine Nájera is a life-long Santa Cruz County resident who is committed to serving her community as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her MSW from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and a BA in History from the University of California in Santa Cruz in 1997.  She is married and a proud mother of two children who keep her and her husband busy, hearts full and excited to see them grow. Jasmine is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Monarch Services & on the Pájaro Valley Health Care District.

 

She is proud to have been working with the Health Services Agency for over 20 years, working in both the Children’s & Adult Behavioral Health divisions, specializing in Forensic Services. In this role, Jasmine was responsible for the collaborations & partnerships with our local law enforcement jurisdictions, Probation Department, County Jail, and the Superior Court. She helped develop and implement our Mental Health Liaisons to Law Enforcement Team, the Crisis Intervention Team Training, and helped establish and create the Santa Cruz Behavioral Health Court, and has worked on, supervised, and managed our Forensic Assertive Community Treatment team in partnership with Probation. Jasmine has taken the lead overseeing multiyear grants that fund these innovative projects and has been acknowledged and honored through awards many times for her leadership on these and other projects.

Over the past year, Jasmine has served on the Board Secretary of the Pájaro Valley Health Care District, Board Chair of Monarch Services and contracted with the City of Watsonville to help establish the Trauma-Response MDT led by the Watsonville Police Department and supervised MSW students at PVPSA.

Jasmine is grateful to continue to support staff in delivering high quality Behavioral Health services in the Pájaro Valley. overseeing partnerships and collaborations to best support and uplift the youth & families of our community. She is proud to give back to her community to ensure that all children have the opportunities they need and deserve.

Jasmine is a proud champion for and passionate about mentoring and coaching the professional development of staff to ensure that all youth, children & families have access to quality treatment, services, and programs.
